Airport pickup service for new commencing international students

Does UWA provide Airport pickup service for new commencing international students?

The University of Western Australia provides a “one-off” airport pickup service for newly commencing international students arriving on campus for the first time.
To request your airport pickup service, you must have accepted your UWA offer, received your CoE and booked your flight to Perth and have a valid student visa.
 
How to book:
The airport service is provided by Great Western Coach Tours.
Please send an email to bookings@greatwesterncoachtours.com.au to apply for the airport pickup service and do this five days before you arrive.

Pickup is available at both International and Domestic terminals and drop-off locations are at the designated stops listed below. 
 
1) UWA College Row – all five colleges are located opposite UWA
  • University Hall
  • St Georges College
  • Trinity College
  • St Thomas More College
  • St Catherine’s College
and the following locations of
  • Campus Perth (80 Stirling Street Perth)
  • The Switch (555 Wellington Street Perth)
  • The Boulevard Perth (89 Stirling Street Perth)
  • Crawley Village
  • Beatty Lodge (Leederville)
  • Addresses within 25km of Perth Airport
Before booking, it’s important to note that:
  • Please allow two business days to receive your airport pickup confirmation. If you do not receive the airport pickup confirmation email, check your spam/junk folder first before requesting a copy from the provider.
  • A “No Show” fee of AUD$80 may be applied if you have requested the airport pickup service but fail to arrive on the scheduled flight or inform GWCT of any changes.
  • The latest arrival date for undergraduate students is Saturday, 27 July 2024.
Allow two business days to receive your airport pickup confirmation. If you do not receive the airport pickup confirmation email, check your spam/junk folder first before requesting a copy from the provider.
 
Eligibility:
  • Full-degree Undergraduate students: service is available for students only. Other family members are asked to undertake their own transport. 
  • Full-degree Postgraduate students: service is available for students and their immediate family (spouse/children).
  • Non-award Student Exchange and Study Abroad (SESA) students: service is available for newly commencing undergraduate and postgraduate SESA students.

  • Perth Airport has many transport options to get you to where you need to go, such as the Transperth public transport system, taxis and rideshare companies such as DiDi and Uber.
