Foreign interference means activities carried out covertly by, or on behalf of, a foreign actor; when it is clandestine, deceptive, corrupting and/or threatening in nature and when it is contrary to Australia's sovereignty and interests (Foreign Interference Policy).
The UWA Code for the Protection of Freedom of Speech and Academic Freedom aims to ensure that freedom of speech is treated as a paramount value by the University and that academic freedom is treated as a defining value by the University.
Students are encouraged to report any reasonably based concerns to foreigninterference@uwa.edu.au.
If you are concerned that another member of the University community may be acting under foreign interference, or you are being harassed and pressured, you can discuss your concerns with the Integrity and Standards Unit (the ISU).
