Everyone’s pathway to university is different, which is why UWA College provides a range of options to help kick-start your journey towards studying at UWA and achieving your career goals. As UWA's own on-campus pathway provider, our English language and integrated academic programs are designed in collaboration with UWA to help prepare you for progression into the first or second year of a range of UWA undergraduate degrees.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE
Language and Communication Essentials (LCE) 
UWA College's English language courses are provided by UWA's Centre for English Language Teaching (UWA CELT). If you need to improve your English skills for an academic pathway program, UWA CELT offers high-quality English language  tuition in a supportive and friendly environment.

UWA CELT’s Language and Communication Essentials (LCE) program is designed to improve your English language skills and prepare you for further academic study at UWA College.

If you have an IELTS score of at least 5.0, you can package your LCE program with your UWA College academic pathway and undergraduate studies at UWA - requiring only one visa for the duration of your study plan.

If you have an IELTS score less than 5.0, you'll require a longer English language program to meet the requirements for entry into a UWA College academic pathway. In this instance, you'll be provided with two study plans - one for a stand-alone English language program and one for your packaged UWA College pathway and UWA degree.

FOUNDATION STUDIES
UWA Foundation Program
Designed specifically for international students, the UWA Foundation Program prepares you for a seamless transition to your first year at UWA  – in as little as eight months. In a supported learning environment, you’ll learn at a pace that works for you. From developing your confidence in communicating academic matters to learning subject-specific knowledge, we’ll equip you with the study skills for success at UWA.

DIPLOMA PROGRAMS
Our Diploma programs provide subject-specific guidance to help prepare you for progression into the second year of your UWA undergraduate degree. With personalised academic and English language support, you’ll study the same first-year units as students studying directly with UWA – keeping you on track to complete your degree in the same amount of time.

Diploma in Commerce
Our Diploma in Commerce is your pathway to the second year of UWA’s Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Commerce.

Developing your business acumen and understanding of the modern business world, you’ll be equipped with relevant and applicable industry skills across a range of areas, including economics, finance, marketing, communications, law and business analytics.

Diploma in Computer and Data Science
Our Diploma in Computer and Data Science is your pathway to the second year of UWA’s Bachelor of Science, majoring in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or Data Science.

Offering a broad range of subjects across programming languages, data analysis, and network security, you’ll have the added flexibility of being able to study business units to expand your career potential.

Diploma in Engineering
Our Diploma in Engineering is your pathway to the second year of UWA’s Bachelor of Engineering (Honours).

You’ll spend the first 1 or 2 trimesters of your Diploma building your academic and English study skills, while improving your maths and physics knowledge. Then, you’ll join first-year UWA engineering students in your final trimester as you study the same subjects alongside them for a truly integrated experience.
